Our team went out of their way to simplify Sic Bo betting as best they could. We go in-depth on available wagers, payouts, and possible Sic Bo strategies.

Live Dealer Sic Bo 101

Understanding how Sic Bo plays immediately decreases the complexity of its betting table. The game has three dice in a glass dome, which shake to reveal the final result. All wagers you see on the table are attempting to predict that result. The sprawling table and available stakes give you many ways to wager on the outcome of each round.

However, live casino Sic Bo does make things somewhat easier on players. Instead of offering the full range of Sic Bo bets, live dealer versions remove some wagers.

Over the years, many software providers have launched their Sic Bo titles. That includes the standard game and Sic Bo with multipliers, which is increasing in popularity. Evolution, Pragmatic Play, Ezugi, and Playtech have their Sic Bo games available in live casinos.

Live Dealer Sic Bo Bets

Live dealer Sic Bo releases cover a wide variety of possible bets. We describe how each one works and its potential payout below.

Small/Big

Small and Big bets are opposites: if one wins, the other loses. The goal is to predict the total of all three dice. If you think the total will be between four and ten, you wager on Small. If you believe the sum of all three dice will be between eleven and seventeen, you bet on Big. Both wagers lose if a three-of-a-kind is rolled. Both Small and Big bets pay 1:1 when won.

Number Bet

Number bets are also straightforward: you try to predict what number will appear on the dice. If it lands on one, two, or three dice, you win 1:1, 2:1, and 3:1, respectively.

Pair/Combination Bets

A large portion of each live Sic Bo table is dedicated to pair or combination wagers. These bets aim to predict what two dice will appear in the next round. An example of a pair wager would be a One & Three dice combination. There are fifteen possible combinations you can stake money on. Both dice have to appear to receive the 5:1 payout.

Total Bet

With Total wagers, your goal is to predict the total of all three diced added together. The less likely the number is to appear, the better the payout for it will be. The standard payouts for each total are as follows:

  • 4 or 17 pay 60:1
  • 5 or 16 pay 30:1
  • 6 or 15 pay 17:1
  • 7 or 14 pay 12:1
  • 8 or 13 pay 8:1
  • 9, 10, or 11 pay 6:1

Double Bet

This stake requires you to land a specific pair to win, such as a pair of twos or a pair of fives. The payout for a successful Double Bet is 10:1.

Triple Bet

The Triple Bet wagers that the next three dice will form a specific three-of-a-kind. An example of this is three fours or three sixes. Triple bets pay 180:1 if you win.

Any Triple

A subset of the Triple Bet, this stake wins if any three matching dice land. It is easier to win, but the payout is accordingly lower – only 30:1.

Live Dealer Sic Bo Strategy

There is no set strategy to win in Sic Bo. The results are randomly determined using dice. However, there is a way we can improve our odds: by picking what bets to play. In terms of win frequency, Small/Big’s 97.22% RTP gives you the greatest win probability. Number and total bets have lower RTPs, but have bigger payouts to compensate.
